Lance La Belle
Lance A. LaBelle is a mediator and AV-rated attorney with nearly 25 years of liability insurance coverage experience in the commercial and personal lines areas. Lance has spent over 20 years overseeing the "duty to defend" coverage practice group of a major California law firm. He is available to mediate a wide range of third-party insurance coverage disputes, including but not limited to, directors and officers, professional liability, advertising injury, construction defect, additional insured and Cumis issues. His practice in the personal lines area includes coverage work arising under homeowners, automobile and various other personal lines coverages.

Lance has also handled all aspects of coverage litigation including declaratory relief actions. He was the trial attorney in Dynamic Concepts, Inc. v. Truck Insurance Exchange, 61 Cal.App.4th 999 (1998), a precedent-setting California decision involving "Cumis" issues.

Lance received mediation training and certification through UC Irvine's Conflict Management and the Use of Alternate Dispute Resolution program.

He frequently testifies as an expert witness in the area of insurance coverage and lectures to businesses, insurance professionals, bar associations and at other insurance-related events. He also has authored and contributed articles to numerous consumer and trade publications.

Lance is a member of both the California and Minnesota State Bars.

Janice A. Ramsay
Janice A. Ramsay is an ADR neutral and one of the most highly respected lawyers in the insurance legal community. She has more than 35 years of experience in commercial and personal lines - everything from mold to riots, fraud, arson and earthquakes.

Jan frequently serves as a mediator and appraiser on valuation issues. She is available to mediate and arbitrate on a variety of insurance coverage, bad faith litigation and subrogation matters.

In her law practice, Jan was counsel in two important appellate matters -- Prudential-LMI v. Superior Court 51 Cal.3d 674 (1990) and Doheny West Homeowners' Association v. American Guarantee & Liability Insurance Company 60 Cal.App.4th (1997).

Jan is invited to speak at many industry seminars, including the Property Loss Research Bureau's annual claims conference, where she has taught courses on property insurance losses, appraisal and investigation issues. She also lectures on ADR and insurance coverage for CEB and other organizations, including the Orange County Bar Association.

Jan graduated from Indiana University (AB, 1964) and the University of San Francisco (JD, 1969), where she was a member of the University of San Francisco Law Review and McAuliffe Honor Society.

She is a member of the Orange County Bar Association (Insurance Law Section), American Bar Association (Property Insurance Law Section of the Torts and Insurance Practice Committee), California Women Lawyers, Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, and the Defense Research Institute.

David B. Ezra
David B. Ezra enthusiastically serves on the Los Angeles Superior Court's mediation panel. Named a 2007 Southern California Super Lawyer (insurance coverage) by the publishers of Los Angeles Magazine and Law & Politics, Inc., David applies his experience representing policyholders and insurers to help parties resolve their disputes.

David continues to successfully mediate a wide array of controversies, including:
