Lance LaBelle Elected Chair of OCBA's ADR Section IDR Mediation Services co-founder Lance LaBelle has been elected to a one-year term as Chair of the Orange County Bar Association Alternate Dispute Resolution Section, effective January 1, 2008. As chair, Lance will oversee initiatives, activities, educational programs and meetings for the section's members. Lance is an attorney-mediator with more than 25 years of liability insurance coverage experience in the commercial and personal lines areas. He is co-founder of the Irvine-based Insurance Dispute Resolution Mediation Services (www.IDRmediationservices.com), where he mediates a wide range of third- party insurance coverage disputes, including directors and officers, professional liability, advertising injury, construction defect, additional insured and Cumis issues, and related disputes. Lance has been a member of OCBA's ADR Section since 2005 and has been invited to speak to both the Insurance Law and ADR sections of the OCBA. "I appreciate this opportunity to help lead a section that plays an important role in the emerging area of alternative dispute resolution. I look forward to the year ahead which includes the Bridging The Gap seminar for newly admitted attorneys, interfacing with the judiciary, and planning numerous educational meetings and seminars that we hold throughout the year, " he said. A graduate of Hamline University School of Law, Lance earned a B.A. from the University of Minnesota. He has spoken and written extensively on insurance coverage and mediation issues.
